Description
Excerpt from Greenwich Park: Its History and Associations: With 31 Illustrations From Drawings, Photographs, and Old Engravings
His Book is the outcome of a Paper read before the Blackheath Natural History Society in 1901.
The publication has, however, been delayed by the discovery of Roman Remains in the Park, a complete account of which it was considered desirable to include in the work.
I am glad of this opportunity to return thanks to all those who have kindly assisted me with information and illustrations relating to this, the oldest, most historical and interesting of any of the Royal Parks. To Mr. H. Richardson and Mr. J. Gabban, I am especially indebted.
