Excerpt from War Record of 4th Bn. King’s Own Scottish Borderers and Lothians and Border Horse: With History of the T. F. Associations of the Counties of Roxburgh, Berwick and Selkirk
I desire also to thank Captain J. R. Marshall, who is responsible for the portion of the volume relating to the Lothians and Border Horse; lieut.-colonel A. Haddon, for information about the Territorial Force Associations; the Officer in charge of Records, Hamilton; and Captain T. Broomfield and others who were kind enough to send me a large number of photographs, from which a selection has been made.
Every effort has been made to make the record as complete as possible. Mistakes may have crept in, and omissions will doubtless be noted, but I trust that with all its imperfections the book will serve its purpose as a small reminder of the honourable part the units concerned played in the Great War.
