Description
The regiment was uniformed, mustered into the United States service, armed with carbines, sabres and revolvers, and drilled at Camp Wade, and then, in November, 1861, removed to Camp Deni son, near Cincinnati, to be nearer the scene of action, and then in December and January transported to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and Platte City, Mo., on the following errand.
