This book presents new evidence and evidence on the coup of 15 July 1974 against President Makarios and on the first (Attila I) and second phase (Attila II) of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, which took place on 20 July and 14 August 1974, respectively.
The questions are answered as to why Makarios decided on a head-on clash with Ioannides and why the latter overthrew him in a coup?
