Description
Nock. This was the way he wrote his name and his original signa ture may yet be seen in the archives of Rockingham county at Exeter. He was a young man when he came to Dover, and was a farmer. From what country he came is not known, though pre sumably from England or Scotland. His posterity varied the orthography of the paternal name in a variety of ways, and among old documents and records it /is found variously written Nook.
