Description
Without entering more fully into the contents of the various chap ters, it may be stated that the work as a whole is designed as a general introduction to the special theory of optical instruments (telescope, microscope, photographic Objective, etc., including also the eye itself). To discuss properly and fully each of these types would require a separate and extensive volume, which I may be induced to undertake at some future time as a sequel to the present work.
