To the writer of the letter, the views of the Doctrine of Justification, entertained by Mr. Knox, appeared altogether incorrect: but, in the matter of evidence, he and his neighbour ing friends had been staggered and disconcerted by an admission of the historian Mr. Milner, which Mr. Knox had eagerly caught up and in more than one place had strongly insisted upon.
