Description
Excerpt from The Harmon Genealogy: Comprising All Branches in New England
The book represents the combined efforts of a number of descendants who have written the history of the Harmon family, including: Rev. George M. Bodge; Mr. Charles L. Harmon, of Manchester, N. H Hon. Cyril P. Harmon, of W. Buxton, Me. Judge George W. Harman, of Bennington, Vt.; and Artemas C. Harmon, of Washington, D. C. The work was started about 50 years ago and was recently completed, edited and published by the author after five years of work.
It is appropriate to state, that on account of the scarcity of paper at the present time, and in order to reduce the cost of printing the book, the pages have been printed in full width and depth and reduced Slightly in number from that which was originally contemplated. This reduction necessitated the elimination of all unimportant material, such as certain allied families, unattached families, and miscellaneous photos, but the main records have not been cut. The bulk of these records was never printed before.
