With those letters came also others from the Friends'' Mann script Depository in Devonshire House. These were chie?y addressed to Margaret Fell by those earnest men, the first preachers among that band of zealous followers who rallied round George Fox, and who by their unswerving advocacy of the rights of conscience, and their firm stand against the into letance and persecuting spirit of the age, have contributed in no small degree to the establishment of that full measure of religious liberty at present enjoyed by all classes in our favoured land.
