Description
Excerpt from The Descendants of John Stubbs of Cappahosic, Gloucester County, Virginia, 1652
In writing of the Stubbs family every effort has been made to secure all the information possible, both in England and America. There is accordingly given, first, a chapter embodying glean ings that have been gathered from various sources in England, mainly, however, from a delightful little volume, The Lays and Leaves of the Forest (of Knaresborough) by Rev. Thos. Parkin son - whose mother was a Stubbs.
The next chapter is devoted to the early settlers by the name of Stubbs in America, with their land grants, etc.
