Description
In spite of the compulsory limitation of space, this manual gives an exhaustive account of the modern practice of dyeing and staining wood, bone, ivory and marble. All new processes have been tested, and have been inserted only when they have been found to be of practical utility. In this way much space has been saved for really important matter.
I have adhered strictly to my intention of giving only reliable recipes, and that in such a form that any practical worker can make use of them without further trouble. I hope, therefore, that this little work will be found Of real service to the industry.
