Description
Perfect for Forest schools looking for web building fun.
A story to teach Kindness. A story to teach Rhyme.
Two children, are friends with many animals, including a spider 'Sydney' that they see every morning on a spider web on their gate, as they go off to school. This is a story in rhyme, of how the two children and their animal friends help the little spider in her time of trouble. The rhythm of the text will grab the attention of any young reader, and have them listen to the story time after time to be able to repeat and learn the words.
Sydney Spider was inspired by Stacy's two children who were both once captivated by a beautiful ornate spiders web glazed in frost on the front gate. This led them to speak at great length about how we should never break a web unnecessarily as it is a precious home for a spider, which took great care and time to craft. They also have a Coco cat of their own who patrols the front path, and they know a Doodle Dog!
