The author is almost surprised at her yielding to the request of many friends to put them in the form of a book. The journey over the sea was in company with her hus band, his brother and sister. If but a little of the delight and intelligence realized by the author shall be gathered by the reader, the publication shall not be regretted. The Reminiscences have been to a limited.
