Description
Of our eight children, three sons only are now living, all of whom reside in St. Louis. Charles P. Johnson, ex-lieutenant-governor of Missouri; Richard M. Johnson, appointed by President Grant as United States consul to Han-keou, China, in 1869; John D. Johnson, lawyer, in partnership with his brother Charles P. Johnson.
My husband died in the year 1871, and lies in the family lot in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, where also rest five of our children, three sons and two daughters. Since my husband''s death I have made my home with my eldest son, Charles P. Johnson, in St. Louis.
