Description
Excerpt from Quiet Old Glasgow: Its Latter Days Before Railways, With Many Other Interesting Matters, Giving a Pleasing Account of the Village of Grahamston, Which Was Situate on That Part of Argyle Street Then Known as Anderston Walk
IT may be interesting to note the great changes that have taken place in and around the city of Glasgow on its progress to what it now is, and more especially during the last seventy years. During these years it has increased and extended more than in all its previous history, and has, as it were, changed its position and moved on to the west, and in doing so has blotted out and swept away many lovely scenes and places of interest once endeared to the minds of former generations.
