Description
Excerpt from Pleasant Hill
IN this book it has been my purpose to tell the story of the old Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, located between Girard and Virden, Illinois. After three years of research I present to you the picture contained herein. The difficulties have been numerous and I ask your leniency if I have erred in reconstructing these events so nearly lost to posterity.
As many interesting details have been omitted as have been used. I ask your pardon if your story has not been included. All names, dates, and events are facts. No doubt inaccuracies have crept in, but little of the book is pure conjecture.
