The Autobiography of Abraham Lincoln is an inspiring and interesting account of the life and times of American president Abraham Lincoln, 1809 to 1865. It was written in the summer of 1860 as requested by a friend, to coincide with 1860 elections. The book also contains a memorandum written by Lincoln to artist 'Hicks', a letter to friend 'J. W. Fell' and a speech Lincoln gave at Springfield in 1858.
The work is short and concise but gives a fascinating insight into the life of the enigmatic President, giving a brief look into his early life and the times before he became president. Although this is not a lengthy autobiography it is an interesting read nonetheless and provides a wealth of knowledge about Lincoln.
A great read for someone interested in gaining a quick insight into the life of Abraham Lincoln, short and to the point.
