Description
Excerpt from Hot Water Supply and Kitchen Boiler Connections: A Text Book on the Installation of Hot Water Service in Residences and Other Buildings and Methods of Connecting Range Boilers, Steam and Gas Water Heaters
The popular hand-book Kitchen Boiler Connections dealt principally with piping problems and with the connec tions to boilers in the smaller type of residence. While the examples shown in the book which is designed to replace it cover the larger buildings as well, it has been recognized that the former are the more important by reason of their far greater number and therefore the examples of piping construction and connections for small buildings are shown in greater variety. This is considered all the more necessary, as the opportunity for departure from certain standard types of construction are more in small buildings than in large ones, as a rule, owing to greater variety in architectural design.
