Excerpt from Henry Tomlison, and His Descendants in America: With a Few Additional Branches of Tomlinsons, Later From England
While, therefore, all that could be obtained of the Henry Tomlinson line is here included, num bering, with the children of Tomlinson women who married out of the family name, about one thou sand, with a few other short lines, there is left two or''three additional lines, numbering nearly as many persons as are herein given, for the reason that the time has been too short for the parties to complete the gathering of names so far as to make the rec ord satisfactory when put in type. It is expected therefore, that the parties mostly interested in those remaining lines, residing largely in Delaware and Pennsylvania, will in a few months hereafter bring out another - a second volume of Tomlinsons in America, by which the record of this very honor able family shall be well represented in a book.
