Description
Excerpt from Gibson and McLean's Student's Conveyancing
Less than three years have elapsed since the ninth edition of this book was published, and, if an apology is needed for this comparatively early appearance of its successor, it must be found in the passing Of the Conveyancing Act, 1911. The provisions of that Act are so important, and affect the text Of the book in SO many places, that a new edition was inevitable. In addition to the Conveyancing Act, considerable altera tion in and addition to the text have been rendered necessary by the creation of the new land duties by the Finance (1909-10) Act, 1910, and by the changes in the law Of death duties and stamps introduced by that Act.
