IN preparing the second edition of this work, the author has had continually in view the wants of the general practitioner, and has endeavored to render the subject still more clear, and the directions for treatment yet more practical; he has endeavored to benefit by all criticisms and suggestions, and has felt greatly encour aged in his work by the most ?attering reviews which the first edition of this book received in the medical journals of this and other lands.
The book still remains a personal one, representing the experience of the writer, and in the tables are found the data from five hundred additional cases of eczema of which notes have been taken in private prac tice since the appearance of the first edition.
