A place of the name in Staff''ordshire, England, is celebrated for the medical quality of the water 91; its springs.
There was also a town of Lockwood in Yorkshire, England. In the reign of Edward III. One John Lockwood was attached to the royal party, fought at Naseby, and was there wounded, 1327 - 1377.
