Auch die Pariser Privatsammlungen und die Museen der französischen Provinz, in die z. B. Die ehemalige Sammlung Campana verstreut ist, boten viel Uner wartetes. Wien und überhaupt Österreich besitzt in seinen Privatsammlungen die größten Kostbarkeiten; lebt doch in Wien derjenige Sammler, dessen Bestände an Truhenbildern selbst die Lord Crawfords in London übertreffen: Graf Lanckoronski.
