Again, he is generally very happy in descriptions of natural scenery, and rivals the art of his master through his portrayals of the fjords and fjelds of Norway, a country which he has visited repeatedly, and whose social and political history he has studied carefully (cf. Afrhja 1854, Erich Randal, Mügge''s stories are better calculated to appeal to the popular taste than Sealsfield''s they are less sketchy, and are carried to a satisfactory conclusion.
