Women and men found time and energy for a great variety of war service, much of which demanded study and thought, in many cases along lines new to them. The nation was set to work in many new schools. Nor was this education confined to the Americans at home. Books and papers followed the soldier into the camps and across the seas. Hand in hand is the education which the nation received in regard to public ''health, sanitation, social and moral hygiene, whole some recreation.
