Description
She sailed from New York on the 2lst of June, 1851, with a crew of thirteen, all told; and arrived at Havre on the 12th of July, after an excellent passage of twenty-one days, during which she was under the reduced canvas of a temporary suit of sails. At Havre she was painted and refitted before sailing for Cowes, where she arrived on the 3lst of July. She excited considerable interest among the members of the Royal Yacht Squadron and other yacht clubs at Cowes, and was visited by a great number of persons interested in nautical affairs.
