Those sources found most helpful were The Congressional Research Service, Federal Energy Administration, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Science Foundation, National Academy of Sciences, the newly established u.s. Energy Research and Development Administration, and the Proceedings of the United Nations Energy Conferences. No attempt has been made to list all publications on the subject; however, those listed should be useful to the reader in obtaining background information on a particular area of interest.
