I. Jedermann sagt, dass das Wort von Gott gekommen, von Gott eingegeben, und daher heilig sei aber wo in demselben das Göttliche sei, hat man bisher nicht gewusst denn das Wort erscheint im Buchstaben, wie eine gewöhnliche Schrift, in einer fremdartigen, weder erhabenen noch lichtvollen Schreibart, dergleichen man dem Anschein nach bei den Schriften der Welt findet. Daher kommt es, dass wer die Natur anstatt Gottes, oder wer sie mehr als Gott,verehrt, und daher seine Gedanken aus sich, aus seinem Eigenen,und nicht aus dem Himmel vom Herrn, herleitet, leicht in Irrthum in Ansehung des Wortes und in Verachtung desselben verfallen, und, wenn er es liest, bei sich sagen kann Wozu dies, wozu jenes? Ist dies göttlich? Kann Gott, der un endliche Weisheit hat, so sprechen Wo und woher ist sein Heiliges, wenn es nicht aus der Religions lehre und somit aus der Überredung stammt?
