Description
Excerpt from The Suburbanite, Vol. 5: April, 1907
The man that I am thinking of is not so fortunate. He has no choice. He must stick to his desk, with the roar of the streets in his ears. His mind must be alert: and no one can know, who has not tried it. What a nervous. Strain that is. He has scant time to notice whether the sun shines or not, even if there is a patch of sky visible from his window. And at night he goes home, his nerves weary with a weariness that only the soothing hand of Nature can cure - Nature and a great silence. If he lives in the city, where shall he find either?
