Thus some important steps were taken, but not enough to reach the point, to which a member Of the house judiciary committee of 1867 urged his fellow delegates, where all laws contrary to the changed conditions of things should be done away, and the same justice meted out to each and all. There still remained considerable discrimination in the law. Thence forth, there was little action touching the colored people, in the halls of assembly at Annapolis.
