Excerpt from Kendall Genealogy: The Descendants of Thomas and Francis Kendall of Charlestown and Woburn, Mass; Set Forth in Rhyme by Anstis Kendall Miles in 1855; Now Reprinted and Rendered in Prose With Many Additions
Having read the following so called rhyming gene alogy with much interest, owing to its quaint style and the historical value contained therein, and upon closer investigation discovering its extreme rarity, it was deemed advisable to reprint it, adding such data as applied to J esse4 Kendall and his descendants. This additional data has been collected from various sources but more especially from the living members of the family.
An elaborate or scholarly work is not intended but rather a key for those who may be interested in this family.
Honorable mention with appreciation is hereby ex tended'' to those who so gladly assisted in this work, but by their own most earnest wish their names are not to be mentioned here.
