Description

Linda Pullman, ex-primary school teacher, now living in Buckinghamshire, is releasing her first collection of poems at the age of seventy. Better late than never, as they say. She has always enjoyed writing of all kinds. As a teacher for twenty years, she aimed to instil in her pupils a love of creative writing and of reading. A brush with breast cancer in 2020 and the COVID lockdowns spurred her on to get some of her work into print.

One item on bucket list completed!

In this collection, you’ll find poems that search for connections, to belong to family, groups and society in general. You’ll find some poems that step away from reality and imagine the mind from the inside out, offering outlandish solutions for common social issues. A touch of comedy lightens the mood from time to time. In fact, the poems range from comedy to tragedy but essentially, they are about connections between people, between minds.

Hopefully, readers will relate to some of the poems and find their own connections. This is certainly the author’s intention. She intends to get more of her work into print in the next few years, including a novel in progress, and fulfil other items on her bucket list too.
