Description
Excerpt from Photo-Aquatint, or the Gum-Bichromate Process, With Illustrations: A Practical Treatise on a New Process of Printing in Pigment Especially Suitable for Pictorial Workers
If not altogether new in principle it is so in its applica tion, for the very qualities which caused it to be cast aside at the time of its original inception as worthless, or at least impracticable, are those towards which the feeling of modern art in photography is undoubtedly tending.
Inquiries concerning the method of production of the prints in bichromated pigment without transfer which have been exhibited at the last three exhibitions of the Photo graphic Salon have been so numerous that it has been thought that a description of the process would prove of value to those who desire to work it.
