Therefore ln presenting the Secom/ Number ofhisprecfptlve lessons to the Amateurs of the Flute, the Author pre - supposes that the Pupil has already made himself thor''oughl) acquainted with the Fingering c of the First, and, if correct in this will experience but little difficulty in accomplishing the Exercises &c in the present Book.
