The following pages are not concerned with Phonetic Theory. They deal with practice, and with practice confined to the elementary stages in the class-room. They are the result of actual class-room experience.
The book has been divided into two parts the first part containing a course of ten introductory lessons for teaching the phonetic symbols, and the second part being devoted to a collection of class-room exercises, described below.
