Excerpt from Materia Medica Mexicana: A Manual of Mexican Medicinal Herbs
It is based upon the extensive studies published in the Datos para la Materia Medica Mexicana, by the Mexican National Medical Institute from which I have extracted what seemed to me most important for medico-pharmaceutical application. I have also added other data, some from my own works, some from scientific works published bv the personnel of the Insti tute, and still others from sources which I shall mention in their proper places.
