Therefore this book is a treatment of diseases by the functional derangements that they exhibit, and by which their presence is known.
If this new method seem inconvenient at first sight to the reader, he has but to glance at the Outline Plan next to the title page to see its comprehensiveness, symmetry and utility.' And if one is at a loss to know under what function some symptom may be found, a moment's examination of the index-glossary will disclose it.
