It has not been determined how large a propor tion of protein is detrimental nor how small a proportion is dangerous to the health. But we are suggesting the amounts that we believe will support the body in the best of health and vigor. And the amount of fat may vary two or three ounces a day without apparent ill effects. I am also speaking of the nor mal, healthy person. In cases of sickness the doctor may prescribe very different proportions of the food elements.
