Uf Anregung eines Freundes habe ich in den N eunzigerjahren Erinnerungen an einzelne Erlebnisse und Personen, die mir interessant erschienen sind, niedergeschrieben. Es sind ganz anspruchslose Aufsatze. Drei davon habe ich schon vor Jahren in der Neuen Freien Presse veröffentlicht. Wenn ich nun außer diesen noch eine kleine Anzahl davon in Buch form verö?''entliche, so geschieht dies in der Ab sicht, mich, wenn auch in sehr bescheidenem Maße, fur das allgemeine Wohl zu betätigen, indem ich, so wie ich dies auch bei fruheren An lassen getan habe, das allfallige Ertragnis einem wohltätigen Zwecke widme.
