Il n''a pas la prétention de remplacer aucun de ces nombreux manuels d''éducation maternelle, juste ment appréciés, comme ou a tant refait d''après Goménius, Locke, Basedow, Rousseau, Mme Pape Carpantier, etc. Mais, a côté de ces plus ou moins bons traités, presque tous essentiellement pratiques, peut - être le mien aura-til l''avantage d''offrir des considérations théoriques dont leurs auteurs ne s''étaient guère préoccupés. On ne doit voir donc ici qu''un essai de psychologie appliquée à l''éducation intellectuelle du petit enfant.
