Die Stelle hat offenbar etwas Schiefes, weil die hervwgchobene Anfügung von s e d maiores Apulia vendit nicht von der Bedeutung und Pointirtheit ist, die man hier erwarten sollte. R. Findet sogar, dieser Zusatz sei ganz unerträglich und nicht einmal „unserm Stümper zuzutrauen. „so viel Rhetorik, sagt er, hatte er denn doch wohl gelernt, dass er eine Steigerung beabsichtigt haben muss, die ganz verloren ging durch die müssige Bemerkung, ‚übrigens noch grössere Güter sind für diese Summe in Apulien zu Ob aber „unser Stümper mit der Emendation seines Tadlers (nee maioris se Apulia vendit, ja eine grössere Summe ist nicht einmal erfor derlich um Apulien zu kaufen) zufrieden sein würde, möchte ich stark bezweifeln.
