While in some cases it may be found that none Of the weaves contained in the glossary exactly meet the requirements of a designer who wishes to produce a certain fabric, yet the weaves shown will often be of service in suggesting new ideas for the construction of a weave suitable for the cloth that it is desired to produce, or it may even be found that a slight alteration of some one of the weaves shown will so change its structure and the effect that it will produce in a fabric as to render it perfectly adapted to the purposes Of the designer.
