The Princeo told Grotius that he had always thought this marriage valid, and did not doubt but he was ofthe fame mind. Grotius an fwered, that the opinion of thofe who regarded fuch marriages as good, was without doubt moft generally received. They afterwards talked of Di vinity: the Prince had been well''educated, and loved this kind of converfation. The grand con troverfies concerning the Eucharifi and the Pope''s authority came under confideration; but we know not the particulars.
