Description
Excerpt from Fra Girolamo Savonarola: A Biographical Study Based on Contemporary Documents
The volume is in large measure a reprint, after careful revision, of a series of articles which appeared in the Tablet from April to December 1898. But more than half the work has been entirely rewritten and considerably expanded. Some account has also been taken, in the earlier chapters, of the very able criticisms passed upon the Tablet articles by a writer in the Iris/z Rosary of july, August, and September 1898. It has however seemed desirable to abstain, as far as possible, from anything in the nature of personal controversy.
