It is with some misgivings that these pages are placed before the citizens of Q Boxborough, many of whom are familiar with its history from the beginning. For besides laboring under the disadvan tage of having been a resident of the town, and acquainted with it, only a few years, I have been obliged to glean a part of the facts from somewhat incomplete town and church records, and the rest from the personal recollections of the people.
