{"product_id":"apendice-a-la-cronica-del-senor-rey-don-juan-el-ii","title":"Apendice a la Cronica del señor rey Don Juan el II","description":"Liciniano Sáez (1737-1809) was a Benedictine and an archivist, and he did for the reign of John II of Castile what few of his contemporaries thought worth doing: he went to the documents and worked out what money was actually worth, and what things actually cost. The result is an appendix to the chronicle that is more useful than the chronicle — a register of the coins struck, their values, and the prices commanded by various goods across a reign of nearly fifty years. Economic historians still reach for this kind of compilation, because the archival series behind it is thin and Sáez had access to it. This copy belonged to George Ticknor, the Boston Hispanist whose library founded the study of Spanish literature in America. This is a faithful print-on-demand facsimile of the 1786 Madrid edition, reproduced in full from a library copy. The historical text is reproduced without modification; only the format, margins and legibility have been reset for modern printing.","brand":"EDITIONS RECREASOFT","offers":[{"title":"Perfect Bound","offer_id":67481762234672,"sku":"9782387811257","price":25.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/www.thegreatbritishbookshop.co.uk\/products\/apendice-a-la-cronica-del-senor-rey-don-juan-el-ii","provider":"The Great British Bookshop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
