    How do I love thee? Let me write a letter

    On Saturday 19th July, The Southbank Centre will host readings from some of the most poignant love-letters written by poets. Do Write Immediately forms part of the Centre’s Festival of Love, and will feature:


    • Ben Lamb reading Keats and Rupert Brooke
    • Harriet Walter and Guy Paul reading the letters between Byron and Lady Caroline Lamb, Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Rilke and Marina Tsvetaeva
    • Susannah Fielding reading Emily Dickinson, Sylvia Plath and Pablo Neruda
    • Jason Hughes reading one of Dylan Thomas’ last letters to his wife, Caitlin
    • Steve Toussaint reading Flaubert, Faiz and Paul Laurence Dunbar
