Description
In the early part of 1777 the foster father of Joseph Hart was drafted into the Army of the Revolution from London County, Virginia. Joseph said to him: You have a family, and should you be killed, your family will have no protector. You took care of me in my childhood I will now be your substitute in the army, for I have no one dependent on me.
